This margarita layers three different flavors creating a fun & celebatory cocktail. This is on top of their already deliciously appealing brunch deal. In honor of America’s birthday, chef Sisha Ortuzar of Riverpark will be preparing a variety of BBQ favorites like smoked wagyu brisket, whole roasted pigs, grilled house-made sausages, his famous fried chicken and much more. Drinks will be plentiful: ice-cold beers from local breweries and red, white & blue sangria as well as house-made iced teas and lemonades.In addition to food & drink, guests will enjoy live music from Sea Monsters, Ski Lodge and Rocket & the Ghost and games like bocce ball and ping-pong on restaurant’s terrace, with views of the East River and the Riverpark Farm. For more 4th of July fun, guests can continue the celebration at ‘witchcraft’s party at Chelsea Piers, featuring exclusive waterfront views of the fireworks. Tickets are $125 person and $55 for under 21 guests and can be purchased here.
The Strand Smokehouse, the sprawling barbecue joint and drinking hall with frontyard and backyard seating in Astoria, will host the Do it For America party boasting live music all day (11 am – close), $2 hot dogs and $3 Narragansett beers.
MexiBBQ, the bustling Mexican-meets-Southern barbecue restaurant in Astoria, will be offering all-you-can-eat hickory-smoked, spice-rubbed Pork Ribs for just $19. The ribs are also steamed in beer and slathered in the diner’s choice of house-made achiote (a Mexican herb) barbecue sauce, sweet-and-smoky barbecue sauce or tangy mustard barbecue sauce. Wash it down with one of the 48 beers the restaurant has on tap.
A.B. Biagi, a newly opened Brazilian gelato shop in Nolita, if giving away free small cups and cones to kids under 12 on July 4th. Flavors from the rotating selection include everything from creamy stracciatella and pistachio to a refreshingly smooth strawberry sorbetto, and kids can enjoy their treats outside or in the bright, airy shop while their parents enjoy an iced coffee made with Brazilian beans. Hours: 1pm-11pm.
