Might be committed to eating here again after going to the Committed Pig just once.
We arrived and were seated right away, that put a smile on my face at dinner time in Manasquan, so busy during the summer. The menu is a one page deal. I knew then, that there was a commitment to what was being served. Nice atmosphere. Our table was at the window overlooking main street. May I mention that one whole wall is a window, it works. We started to look at the menu and could hear the people around us speaking in excited but somewhat hushed tones about the items. Turns out they were ordering some items to share with everyone at the table. Rather unusual for a
burger, until you see there is one on a donut on the menu.
I decided on the Cubano sandwich, their take on a Cuban sandwich and my companion chose the Baked Brie Burger. I had to try the mac and cheese and we decided to split that as a side and take some home. We also got a choice of fries and we both chose sweet potato fries. Food came promptly and was larger than expected. There was lots of ham on that Cubano and a quality ham at that. The Burger had not only Brie, but fig jam and my companion said it was a wonderful combination. We both knew that the mac and cheese was going to be too much, but had to at least try that super cheesy concoction.
Thank goodness the Committed Pig is right on Main Street, because you most definitely need to take a stroll after eating. And that’s exactly what we did!
