#SCBDFitness I’m In It To Win It

scbdfitnessExerciseAround 9:30 a.m., my alarm begins to play music. I wake up at this time on days where I either work late or don’t work at all, oh the life of a college graduate. I usually eat breakfast and then head to the gym. Some mornings, I literally have to drag myself out of bed because I simply don’t feel like working out, but I tell myself I need to. I have to obtain a great body and I won’t do that sitting on my ass. That’s why “work” is in the term because it takes dedication, patience, time, effort to get the perfect bod.

After scaling through the kitchen cabinets for breakfast options, I opt for cereal, again. I sit in my room, watch some TV and wait a half an hour before I hit the gym. This is my daily routine, with interruptions at times. You know, life takes over and I must tend to the important things, such as work and mostly, work.

I cannot stand the initial process of driving to the gym. I prepare my body and mind for the workout routine I’ve crafted and make sure I’m all in once I hop on the treadmill.

Here’s the thing about working out—you must be in the mindset to burn off those cals once you ingest that pumpkin pie or hamburger. You must remind yourself of how good you’ll feel after the workout. I swear, you’ll feel so accomplished and want to do it again and again. It might not happen right away, but you must have the drive and willpower to get on that elliptical or treadmill. You’ll build up confidence and begin to believe in yourself.

You see, it’s not just about working out. It’s also about seeing how far you can push yourself. It’s so refreshing to see your progress from month to month. I remind myself that I can do this. I can obtain the body I’ve always dreamed of and you can too! With a positive attitude and determination, I can definitely do it. Let’s do it together, ladies. I’m in it to win it and you can be as well!
