Left Bank is partnering with City Harvest.
During the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Left Bank kept their doors open, providing a gathering place and a food-haven for our neighbors. The effort became an event, the Lights OUT for Sandy Festival. So from Wednesday, Oct. 30, to Saturday, Nov. 2, they are turning off the lights again and serving New York by candlelight.
This year, however, Left Bank is giving 10 percent from all four nights to those still in need following Sandy’s destruction. They have been very lucky, and there are many who have not. They are working with City Harvest to contribute for the better.
Their special menu will showcase food made without the use of electrical gadgetry. We’re hanging photos of the storm, brought to us by our friends, and we welcome everyone to bring in something that we can clip-up — reserve your table today.
Help Left Bank make Lights OUT For Sandy a success, and help our fellow NY’ers get back on their feet. Planning on going? Use #lightsoutforsandylb on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I’ll be joining the #SCBDTeam and other foodies at Left Bank for this great cause. I will never forget Superstorm Sandy’s impact on my life and the state I live in and work in.
Check out my post about how Sandy hit home for me last year, here.
Here’s to donating to a great cause and eating great food!
