Eat, Drink, Mingle with Over 40 of New York’s Best Chefs Including Dominique Ansel, David Bouley, Shaun Hergatt, Paul Liebrandt, and Masaharu Morimoto at Annual Culinary Event
New York magazine’s 15th annual culinary event, New York Taste, will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 at The Waterfront in New York City. The signature event, hosted byNew York culinary editor Gillian Duffy will once again feature the city’s most celebrated chefs, mixologists and culinary gems. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to City Harvest to help fight hunger. Tickets are on sale at nymag.com/taste, and regular updates will be posted to Twitter with the hashtag #NYTaste.
The tasting event will host world renowned talent including Dominque Ansel (Dominique Ansel Bakery), David Bouley (Brushstroke), Shaun Hergatt (Juni), Paul Liebrandt (The Elm), and Masaharu Morimoto (Morimoto), while showcasing the city’s most diverse and delectable menu offerings from more than 40 participating restaurants. Offerings will include Arlington Club’s Filet Mignon Steak Tartare with White Mushrooms and Grilled Country Bread; Aldea’s Salt-Baked Fingerling Potatoes with House-Smoked Trout Caviar, Flakes of Cod, Golden Delicious Apple; Costata’s Razor Clam Crudo; Talde’s Lemograss Pork Slippery Noodle; and Telepan’s Apple Pie Crescent with Apple Butter Cream and Caramel.
For the first time, the event will take place at the historical Waterfront building located at 269 Eleventh Avenue in New York City; the 2012 event scheduled for the venue was canceled in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. This year’s event will be sponsored by British Airways, Celebrity Cruises, New York Presbyterian Hospital and Stella Artois.
The event hosts over 1,000 guests, with general admission tickets costing $100. VIP tickets can be purchased for $195, and include admission to a special preview hour, access to the VIP lounge, and a VIP gift bag filled with a variety of products, including culinary tools. VIP tickets are limited and sold on a first-come first-serve basis.
