This month was Rock-Star themed, with an awesome square bag with a record on the outside. It is neat to have a bag square. It is different than the normal sizes, so it is great to add other things in it. You can add more!
The first product I got and tried was the Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil in Black Velvet. I really liked Urban Decay; I have a lot of their makeup. It all is fabulous. I actually have a different version of this eyeliner, the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Black. I compared the two, and the Velvet one I received from Ipsy glides on much easier. It is softer and you could say more velvety. I really liked this eyeliner. It lasted all day too. I put it above my eye and below on the water line. The water line faded away, but on the bottom by my lashes it still stayed enough to look good. I have a picture below of how my lash line looked after 7 hours of wearing it. This liner also blends really well and is great to create a smoky eye. This product is another great re-vamp of Urban Decay, I recommend it!
The second product is by Coastal Scents, a medium shadow brush. This brush is very nice, it is pretty soft but the bristles are still tight to really help spread the shadows. This company offers a full line of fabulous brushes. These are made with natural hair or synthetic fibers and are reasonable in price. As an added bonus, they offer a 25% coupon code to use on Ipsy.com. Go check it out, enter ‘brush25off’ at checkout.
The third product is a Lucious Longwear Lip Pencil in Naked by Starlooks. This was something I normally don’t use, a lip liner. So I used it as a liner and pencil. I first lined by lips in it and then filled in the rest of my lips with the pencil. It was an orange shade, which is really in now!
The fourth product was Pop! Goes the Shadow in Champaign by Elizabeth Mott. A great color! It is a very shimmery Champaign color. It is the perfect color to add to any shadow. It can help lighted up a smoky eye, it can accent your brow or water line, and it can also just be a pretty color alone. A great choice of color and a good product!
The final product was Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant. I have used this before, and love it. It is a great at-home treatment for a glowing complexion. You use it “1-2 times per week, gently massage a quarter-sized amount into dam skin and rinse.” I used it in the shower after washing my face with regular face wash. The smell was great; it has hints of chamomile and Ale Vera. It felts like tiny beads in the lotion to create a nice exfoliant. I let it sit for 1-2 minutes, it slightly burned a bit after scrubbing. But then it went away and just felt refreshing. It really helped restore my face, especially after a harsh winter, it really opened up and made my face feel fabulous.
