This morning I was honored to have the opportunity to attend a media tour to preview Whole Foods Market’s newest location in Marlboro, NJ. The store officially opens to the public on Wednesday, May 21st and is conveniently situated and easily accessible along the busy intersection of Route 9 South and Newman Springs Road, the Marlboro store will be the second Whole Foods Market in Monmouth County. To celebrate they will have a bread breaking ceremony at 8:30am to christen the store, followed by the official opening at 9am after. The first 250 customers to come in will get a reusable shopping bag that’s specific to the Marlboro location. Don’t miss out!
The new store will boast 40,000 square feet of retail space and showcase a host of family friendly features that are unique to the location. Each department will have delicious and nutritious offerings like fresh juices and fresh coconut water as well as an outdoor fish market, Farmstand Fishery, to celebrate locally sourced seafood. From Danish, Donuts and Buns featuring in-house baked goods from our Bakery Team to special Gluten Free offerings for our gluten-free shoppers and a Barbeque Bar in the Prepared Foods Department just to name a few, the Marlboro store will have something to satisfy the taste buds and special needs of every member of the family!
Those are just a few of the many benefits of having Whole Foods Market in town. The company is sourcing all of their food from local purveyors from Sandy Hook to Barnegat. Both the seafood and meat and poultry sections will have a wide variety of options that appeal to any palate ranging from internationally seasoned kebabs to stuffed burgers.
During the tour, I got to try the Green Passion juice from the juice bar which is only open in select Whole Foods stores. My juice tasted great and we also got to try some food they had available, too! The food and quality of Whole Foods doesn’t disappoint and the trip to Marlboro is completely worth it for those of you wondering in surrounding towns. I know I will most definitely be making the drive from Howell as often as I can.
