#SCBDEvent: All-Star Chefs Marilyn Schlossbach, Drew Araneo and Jason Crispin “Savoring” NJ Shore at .@LangostaLounge Event

A few months ago we covered Langosta Lounge in Asbury Park, NJ. Haven’t had a chance to stop in? We have a fun and charitable opportunity for you to change that with! Join in the fun (and the yum!) for a good cause on Wednesday June 18 when Best Chefs America Marilyn Schlossbach of Langosta Lounge in Asbury Park and Drew Araneo of Drew’s Bayshore Bistro in Keyport plus Jason Crispin of Gourmand Cooking School in Point Pleasant Beach join forces at Langosta Lounge for “Cooking with Marilyn, Savoring the Shore” night to benefit ongoing New Jersey Shore Sandy recovery.

The evening will feature a five-course dinner and cooking demonstrations by each of the chefs. Flying Fish Brewing, NJ’s largest craft brewing company will take over the taps and wine will also be served.  A portion of proceeds from the evening will benefit NJ shore Sandy recovery.

Also on hand will be Cheryl Larkin and Kate Kurelja, co-authors of “Savoring the Shore,” a cookbook featuring 150+ recipes from celebrity chefs and home cooks, with 100% of net proceeds benefiting NJ Shore Sandy recovery. “Savoring the Shore” will be available for purchase.

Many celebrity chefs have contributed recipes to “Savoring the Shore” including Top Chef judge and NJ native Tom Colicchio (Chicken Soup), Top Chef Masters and NJ native Chef David Burke (Grilled Whole Salmon with Grilled Vegetables and Tomato Vinaigrette), four chefs from Hell’s Kitchen Season 11 and one from Season 10 (Barret Beyer, Jessica Lewis, Amanda Giblin, Jacqueline Baldassari, and Justin Antiorio), and cookbook authors such as Louisa Shafia,The Persian Kitchen.

 

Chef Marilyn has three recipes in “Savoring the Shore”: “White Sangria,” “Marilyn’s Roasted Turkey Matzo Ball Soup,” and “Aloha Chocolate Mousse.” Chef Drew has four recipes in the book: “Roasted Poblano Creamed Jersey Corn,” “Carolina BBQ Braised Pork Butt,” “Green Chile Cheese Grits,” and “Peach and Berry Cobbler.” Chef Jason has three recipes in “Savoring the Shore”: “Garden State Gazpacho,” “Chicken Wings in Garlic Sauce,” and “Blue Cheese, Bacon and Herb Souffle.” The back story of Flying Fish’s special Sandy brew also appears in the book.
