#SCBDReview: FIN Restaurant in [email protected]

Sara and I recently had the opportunity to have dinner at FIN located at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City. We definitely were excited to try it as we both have heard such great things about the restaurant. Tropicana is also one of our favorite places to spend time at in Atlantic City! FIN is mainly a seafood restaurant but they do offer other options for those who are land lovers. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxing and offered great views of the boardwalk ocean. We were lucky enough to get a table right near the window, such a nice view! Of course we knew we had to try their drinks, I got a martini while Sara got a glass of Sauvignon bland.

The menu offered many great appetizers to get you started so we knew we had to try some. I always love calamari so I got the Crispy point judith calamari. This is calamari with roasted garlic and black pepper. It came with sweet chili tamarind sauce and cajun remoulade. The calamari were perfect! I have had it at many different places but this is up there as one of the best. They weren’t too chewy and had a great flavor. Sara ordered some oysters which were served with horseradish, cocktail sauce, and vinegar. The best part about the restaurant is that they serve fresh, local food.

The chef, Demetrios Haronis, introduced himself to us and made sure that we were enjoying everything. He really knows what he is doing! For my main entree, I got the Griggstown Farms Frenched Chicken Breast. It was amazing! The flavor was just right and it tasted really fresh. With all the food, I didn’t think I would have room for dessert but the chef prepared a dessert tray for us with meyer lemon cheesecake and a chocolate bomb. Even though we were feeling full, it didn’t stop us from eating them! It was the perfect ending to our already amazing meal.

FIN is open every week Wednesday through Sunday. Their bar which features sushi and raw seafood is open 5 days a week, with entertainment on Monday and Tuesday nights! The bar also offers many specials throughout the week which are on their website, including 1/2 price apps and drinks. FIN may not be affordable for everyone, it is considered fine dining but it is definitely worth the price! The staff, atmosphere, and amazing, local food at this restaurant definitely puts FIN up there as a great place to celebrate with family and friends for your next special occasion or just a night out. We can’t wait to go back again!
