#SCBDRecipe: Halloween Inspired Cocktails


It’s almost Fall and you know what that means? Sweaters, fires, pumpkins and Halloween. Yes, Halloween is right around the corner,which means Halloween parties. Weather you are hosting or just the guest or you just spending Halloween night in why not spice up the evening with a Zombie cocktail or another Halloween inspired cocktails? You can try  recipes for Kinky Witch, Havana Zombie, Zombie or Zombie Prince. I will tell you that the undead never tasted so good.


Kinky Witch

  • Ice cubes 
  •  1 Measure Havana Club ( 3 year old Rum)
  •  1 Measure Havana Club Silver Dry Rum 
  • 1/2 Measure orange Curacao
  • 1/2 measure creme de mure 
  • 1/2 measure orgeat syrup 
  • 2 measures of grapefruit juice 
  • 2 measures orange juice 
  • 2 teaspoons over-proof rum

Put some ice cubes with the Havana Club,orange Curacao, creme de mure, orgeat syrup, grapefruit juice and orange juice into a cocktail shaker and shake well. After stain into a highball glass filled with ice cubes, float the over proof rum over the surface and than add the grapefruit wedges.

Havana Zombie

  • 4-5 ice cubes
  • juice of 1 lime 
  • 5 tablespoons pineapple Juice 
  • 1 teaspoon sugar syrup
  • 1 measure white rum 
  • 1 measure of golden rum 
  • 1 measure of dark rum 

Put the ice cubes into a mixing glass. Pour the fruit juices, sugar and rums over the ice and stir vigorously. Pour the cocktail without straining into a tall glass.

  • 1 measure if white rum 
  • 1/2 of measure golden rum 
  • 1/2 measure apricot brandy 
  • juice of 1/2 lime 
  • 1 teaspoon grenadine 
  • 2 measure pineapple juice 
  • 1/2 measure sugar syrup 
  • 2 teaspoon over-proof rum 
  • pineapple wedge and leaf and sugar

Put some ice cubes with the first 3 rums, apricot brandy, lime juice, grenadine, pineapple juice and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker and shake well. Pour into a chilled glass without straining and float the over-proof rum on top. Decorate with a pineapple wedge and leaf, and sprinkle a pinch of sugar over the top.

Zombie Prince 


  • crushed ice
  • juice of 1 lemon 
  • juice 1 orange 
  • juice of 1/2 grapefruit 
  • 3 drops Angostura bitters 
  • 1 teaspoon soft brown sugar
  • 1 measure white rum
  • 1 measure golden rum
  • 1 measure dark rum
  • lime and orange slices

Put the crushed ice into a mixing glass. Pour the fruit juices over the ice and splash in the bitters. Add the sugar and pour in the rums. Stir vigorously, then pour without straining into a tall glass.

Spooky Shooter

Trick-or-treat! This shooter resembles one of Halloween’s flagship treats, candy corn, and is sure to be a crowd pleaser come Hallows eve. 

½ oz Disaronno Amaretto
½ oz Amarula Cream
½ oz vanilla vodka
Layer all ingredients into a shot glass, Disaronno first, then the Amarula and then

Pumpkin Margarita

Margaritas are one of the most widely consumed cocktails in the country and pumpkin is the flavor of fall, so what happens when we marry the two? A Pumpkin Margarita is born! This cocktail is a sure fired way to celebrate fall and of course, Halloween.
1 oz fresh lime/lemon juice mix
Splash of pumpkin puree
Sesame seeds
Lime wedge
Rim a cocktail glass with lime juice and sesame seeds. Mix ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Stir into cocktailglass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Grande Pumpkin Spiced Smash

Move over pumpkin spiced latte, the Grande Pumpkin Spiced Smash has arrived to a glass near you this Halloween. Upgrade your pumpkin spice with this cocktail.  
1 1/2 oz of Calvados Père Magloire V.S.O.P.
1/2 oz of pumpkin puree
3/4 oz of House made spices (clove, lemon peel, other)
1/2 oz of lemon juice
2 dashes of bitter

Put all ingredients, including pumpkin puree in a shaker. Shake until well blended. Pour into a double Old fashioned glass on the rocks.

1 1/2 oz Partida Blanco
3/4 oz St-Germain
1/2 oz lemon juice
Top with hard apple cider (i.e. Stella Cidre or cider on tap)
