National Pizza with everything (except anchovies) is celebrated on November 12th. I have created a list of some of #SCBDTeams Recommended Pizza spots! If you are in the area try to check out one of these spots and be sure to tag #SCBD on facebook/Instagram/Twitter to show us pictures of your pizza!
L’inizio Pizzeria/Charcuterie Wine Bar: Located in Long Island City . L’inizio offers pizza al taglio (literally ‘pizza by the cut’ or by the slice), which became famous in Rome before spreading throughout Italy – and now the world. These thin-crust square slices baked in rectangular sheet pans are synonymous with high-quality Italian street food. Italian natives enjoy pizza al taglio as a snack while walking the marvelous streets and piazzas of their grand cities, or as a comforting meal among friends. At L’Inizio Pizzeria, they have gone to great lengths to bring you an authentic Italian pizza that contains the same attention to detail as the pizza al taglio from home. In celebration of national Pizza day L’inizio will be offering $1.00 round slices on Wednesday, November 12th from 2-4PM (dine-in only) Check out their menu here
Blaza Pizza: New Jersey’s First Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza opened its doors in Paramus NJ last week. Blaze Pizza is a casual “pizza joint” which allows customers to build their own pizza creation. They are not own known for allowing customers to create their own pizza but for their Fast Fire’d crust which is a light-as-air crisp crust that cooks in 180 seconds. What better day to check out this new pizza spot then on National Pizza Day. Check out their menu here
