Two of my favorite things this time of year are martinis and Jersey Shore Restaurant Week. Two weeks ago, one of my favorite events, The Great Jersey Shore Martini Contest took place at Doolan’s in Spring Lake in celebration of the annual Jersey Shore Restaurant Week #JSRWeek.
The event always brings a huge crowd, both young and old who both share the love of the almighty martini. The two big themes in this years martinis were figs and pumpkin of course! The competition was tough this year with the following restaurants participating:

- Chef Mike’s ABG
- Cibo e Vino
- Fish Urban Dining
- Prohibition Fresh Food & Fine Spirits
- Rella’s Tavern
- Remington’s The Restaurant
- The Mill at Spring Lake Heights
- Savor Lounge
- Harpoon Willy’s
- Pagano’s UVA Restaurant and Wine Bar
- The BAR ROOM + kitchen
- Shipwreck Grill
The winner was Steve of Cibo e Vino with his cider martini which was def a hit in our eyes. But my favorite by far was the Pop Rocks martini from Chef Mike’s ABG.
It was a great time and Doolan’s provided some awesome bites to go with all the martinis we tasted.
