scbdeventrecap

Besides watching the actual football game, Super Bowl Sunday is a great day to spend time with friends and eat great food! Renault Winery hosted a Super Bowl Tailgate Brunch and Small Chick Big Deals was lucky enough to be there! Renault hosts a weekly brunch on Sundays but this one was Super Bowl themed and so fun! Our favorite part about their brunch has to be the omelette station.

They have a chef attended omelette station with various fresh ingredients such as peppers, cheese, tomato, and onions all available to prepared right in front of you. It’s great being able to customize your omelette with as little or much as you want in it. Since it was a tailgate brunch, there were several tailgate favorites such as wings, bite-size burgers, and bite-size pulled pork sandwiches. The wings were especially good with several different house made sauces to choose from and all were delicious! The most fun part of the brunch was that Renault had specialties unique to the area that the teams in the Superbowl was from. For the Sea Hawks there was fresh Seattle salmon, crab cakes, and Washington apple cobbler. Since the Patriots are from Boston, they had New England clam chowder, Sam Adams pulled pork, and of course Boston cream pie! It definitely was a unique twist having the items from the area that the teams were from. We loved it!

They even made mini cupcakes with the colors of the teams on them and they were so tasty. There were other options available for brunch as well, including salad, fruit, and many desserts. Renault made sure that there was something for everyone. All of the food was so delicious and fresh. Since it was a winery, there was of course their May wine available to drink and a blueberry champagne punch. Both of these are staples at their brunch, but unique to the tailgate brunch they offered mimosa or bloody mary carafes and coffee shots. For a price of only $23.95 per person for the brunch, it was really a great deal for all that was offered. Renault has other themed brunches so make sure to check out their website and Facebook page as well to stay updated on all of their upcoming events! As well as the weekly brunch, they have a lot of events planned and there is something for everyone! We definitely can’t wait to go to the next event and we hope to see you there!
