As you may know I have a heart for local businesses, especially wineries and breweries. When I was looking at my map I saw Capitol City Brewing wasn’t far from one of the many Starbucks I stopped in. So I decided it worth the walk that night and checked it out before I stayed in for the night that Thursday. It was totally worth the trip and I even found a beer that I wish I could’ve taken a growler home of!

When I first got into the restaurant I looked for a spot at the bar and was lucky enough to find one in a corner because it was pretty busy upon my arrival, because happy hour was ending. So anyway, I got comfortable, asked my bartender who I’d soon learn name is Corey for a beer list and decided what seasonal beer I wanted with my flight. The flight comes with the four core brews and 1 seasonal brew. The four core brews are Capitol Kolsch, Pale Rider Ale, Amber Waves Ale and last, Prohibition Porter. I chose the Gose and had to try the Red, Wheat and Blue also! My favorites were the Red, Wheat and Blue, Gose, then both of the core ales.  They have a full menu and offer a happy hour Monday to Friday 4-7!

My flight was only $9 and since i got some Red, Wheat and Blue after it was $3 for a pint. Such a great deal and totally worth it! Next time I go I’d definitely go for happy hour and grab food. But note, every meal comes with pretzels and a horseradish mustard so make sure you ask your server or bartender for them! They go great with the beer.

Cheers to new adventures and great beers!

XO Sara
