If you love food, I highly recommend you go out to Fogo de Chao and get the Brazilian Steakhouse experience. They have multiple locations throughout the tri-state area including NYC and Philadelphia. But two weeks ago, when I was visiting Ty we went to the King of Prussia (KOP) location and were treated to an awesome experience and got to see what the buzz was all about.
If you are looking for to go out for dinner and have something different than usual, this is the place to go. The set up is pretty neat, there are rotisseries in a room in the back, that you can see. They have a very well known Market Table where you can get salad, veggies, rice, beans, etc to go with your meal. So trust me, you won’t leave hungry.
We were also asked by our servers, what we wanted to drink as soon as we were seated and decided on the signature, Brazilian Caipirinha. And I must mention they have an awesome cocktail list. The cocktail selection is awesome and they even have a mobile bartender. After the Caipirinha, we had a shot of this aged vodka, triple sec and Brazil’s signature spirit, Cachaca. It was amazing and our mobile bartender, Ryan even told us about the history of Fogo which made the experience that much better. I also tried the Caramlelized Pineapple Old Fashioned which was a great choice!
When your ready for your entree, you turn a drink coaster to say yes and the gauchos, men who come around serving the meat they serve that night and give you how much you’d like. We both liked that they do things like a traditional Brazilian steakhouse, made the experience that much more memorable. We tried different steak, pork, and whatever was available that night. It tasted extremely fresh and it was all you can eat, who doesn’t like that? After we stuffed our faces and tried some of their sides which included the polenta and caramelized bananas. They were both phenomenal.
I asked Ty, what he thought about our experience, especially since it was his first time at a Brazilian steakhouse and this was his opinion, “If you’ve never gone to a Brazilian style steakhouse, it is a one of a kind experience. Also, all the food Fogo that we had was amazing and everything I tried I loved. And it was cool how knowledge the waiting and bartending staff was towards the Brazilian culture and the reasoning behind why the food was served the way it was.”
Last, was dessert because no meal is complete without it. Ty got the Papaya Cream which was definitely a unique and perfect, light dessert and its topped with this amazing, black currant liquor. They put on as much of that as you’d like so keep that in mind. I went with the Tres Leches cake which was so soft, rich, and delicious. I loved it! Our service was on point the entire time and if we had any questions they were answered right away. It was the perfect ending to a great evening out with one of my best friends. I definitely want to visit again and hope to work with them more! It was such a great restaurant, vibes and an awesome concept! Salud!
